Early last week, one of our clients called and asked if we removed plaster, which we do. Upon laying eyes on the plaster during the estimate, we came to find out it was a whole wall. Of course, with junk removal, there is occasionally room for light demo and tear down.
I informed our client that this project is a little outside our realm of work, but that I will research the ‘how” and figure out if its obtainable. I spent the weekend doing just that (YouTube for the win).
On Monday, we put our research to the test. Our team was able to successfully cut the wall into thirds to allow for a safe removal of the wall. As you can see in the pictures, it was no small feat.
To get off the topic of junk for a second, if you’re reading this, I challenge you to do something out of your comfort zone today. Talk to someone (or something) that you normally wouldn’t, do something above and beyond even for your awesome self, or study a topic that would have previously intimidated you. If you know me (Dustin) at all, you’ll know my lack of ability to operate one of these power tools. Although I didn’t personally cut the wall, I am confident now that I can in the future personally, and that my team and I can do so on the professional level. Don’t be scared, you either succeed or you learn.
